Words like knives slice wounds unnoticed
Careless hearts with whispers bruise
Cruel minds seek to unbalance
Jeaousy will turn the screws
No one sees the tears well hidden
No one hears the cries at night
Sleepless fears and wide eyes waiting
Hoping not for mornings light
Scars so deep no nurse can reach them
Torment carried through the years
Still the frightened child within me
Hears the words and sheds the tears

you write clearly and neatly of a pain and torment many can relate to - and would write reams - i like the simplicity here, it has power, connects.

This is classic poetry! ;-)
A good read, I enjoyed the rather depressing mood of the poem.
Well done.
Nathan.
