Dish of the day
1 Jesus: 'Blessed are the poor.'
2 Hitler: 'Blessed are the Nazi storm troopers.'
3 Thatcher: 'Blessed are the rich.'
Boil 1 part Jesus to 3 parts Hitler and 3 parts Thatcher*
(*Margaret Thatcher tastes nippier.)
Cook until you can see an economic policy. Fling in some rumour about poor people: 2 parts blame to 1 part economic policy mantra. Leave it to simmer at Mansion House. Serve cold, on a dish of good business practice.

you made me laugh Celticman. I think you should do one of these a day for a month - dressed up like nigella lawson of course. Might get a tv series out of it!

Alas I haven't got the hair insert! But I am developing man breasts.

if you're going to copy nigella, you'll have to go further than man breasts I would say

Very true. More Nigella's dad than Nigella, of course.

Thanks Rob, that's just the part I was aching for!

Nigella's dad being the person who I suppose G Osbourne has pin-ups of on his wall from those Thatcher days. Nothing to do with man boobs of course, although he looked like the sort of chap who might have had an impressive set (apologies if I've put anyone off their food ...).

1 cup of lump in the throat
2 shots of brown spirits
Glaze with sweat and tears
2 cups all purpose fear and anxiety
Set face flushing at red hot and seethe for one half hour
Phone your ISP on the free call number and sit for another half hour. Listen to the phone quality classical music and looped advertising, letting your sanity drain off, making for a lighter, brighter you.

Celt, you old cynic you. Politicians, like rats, are best eaten warm. Will look out for the Celticman cookbook alongside Nigella's. Liked this.

Ha Sooz you've been overdosing on back catalogues I see. Nice to hear from you and look forward to the resumption of your diaries (which can only mean that man has gone...?)
