As explained in my first contribution - At the beginning - the last six
months have been tough, and much personal cleansing and self-reflection
have taken place. It has been a difficult and exhausting time, but also
an exciting one where we have been entering the unknown and trying to
see a way forward both individually and together....
"Re-building a garden path after years of neglect and unwanted growth
is not easy. Before each paving slab is laid the ground has to be
cleared and levelled. You have to decide on the direction of the path,
whether to follow the old indentations or to create a new
direction.
Each stone you lay represents a new departure, or a reconnection to an
old way of living. In all change it is important not to throw the baby
out with the bathwater.
You have been pruning away at the undergrowth that has appeared almost
without notice. Soon you will be planting bulbs for the next spring and
the path will be long enough for you to see the new direction
forward.
Your will, your work, your wisdom are all working together to create a
new pathway. It does not happen without you, it cannot be laid for you,
but it is not being laid alone."
