A fondness

from the ABC set

Cry with your soul
Let the memorys flood
Your teardrops roll
Hold me to this
Take my hand,
I’ll remember the promised kiss
And let the memorys rise
As the hardships I’ve endured carve themselves in stone
Cry with your soul
Let the depths of my suffering atone
The times I spent with thee in anguish
And graced with you the callow childhood
That was ours
I opened the door to you
I took to you budded flowers
I learnt to sing
Our hearts as true

Comrade
The times we’ve sold
To strangers
In writing
Our tales we’ve told

Remember once
We were sworn by each other to secrecy
The swearing of proud teens
Damaged by years of mediocrity
Trying to prove our lives as exciting
Stating to wide eyed stock brokers and businessmen
The details of our lives before
Astounding artifacts and an earthy den

The loves that we dote
Those who broke our hearts
The poems we wrote for these
Cry with your soul
All is lost and now we must depart from the places
We must console our elders and dive back into our fantasies
