Elephant Talk

from the ABC set

I hear elephants talk at the zoo.
They know zoos; Prague, Berlin and London.
Indian accents, not African.

Born in captivity, immigrant
elephants don’t often run amok.
Never seen a howdah, or a mahout.

Elephant talk is easy to follow:
the first person with a verb or two
and occasional jerky fragments.
