Way up there, in Anytown,
a place where artists come from
-or rapidly leave behind-
the former Steel and Rolling Mills
have long ago seized up.
The blackened bricks are half-
hidden by a palimpsest of
colour-faded come-ons for
concerts, closing sales and
political con-paigns.
It’s yearning for – but will never get-
a coat of playful disrespect
from Bristol’s Son of Kilroy.

What is a palimpsest? Apart from that it gives a picture .Reminds me of a song by Mary Chapin Carpenter.
