Your personal pronoun decorates the page
like fence posts on a barren landscape:
the only thing that catches, the “I”.
My preference would be for periphrasis - or
to put it in another way -
“I” is not the only subject,
and it can be the object,
direct or indirect,
you choose.
Or - what iconoclasm – you could write about
something or someone else, make something up.
That advice? Write what you..? No.
It's creative writing, that's originality. So
go on – finally - let it drop.
Could you -one day- stop
tapping out minutiae,
pithy or pathetic,
and die?
