I wish they’d send real photographs
(the ones they do just make me laugh
- impossible skin and outrageous winks)
and quit with the endless hyperlinks.
Yah-know-hoo just thinks they’re spam
and hides them away whenever he can,
so with all my bestest pals quite banished,
the contents of my in-box vanish.

And yet some people live their entire lives craving the love emanating from these little boxes... and to think that twenty years ago you couldn't have written this poem ... well unless you had one hell of an imagination and the gift of prophesy.
