Just one kiss

from the ABC set Dust

The beauty of a kiss
lies in its simplicity.
The slow release of pressure,
moist lips;
sensing and feeling
particles of pleasure
drifting on a sweet breath;
Hesitant in its mutuality,
eyes open an close
in watchful anticipation
of the next wave
of happiness to depart;
Often tears flow
freely and joyfully
onto unsuspecting cheeks.
We roll from dream to dream,
hurt is dampened,
pain absorbed
and Hope,
our sacred guardian of freedom,
spreads her wing of security
to carry us home again.
Just...
One kiss
and we are free.

Another beautiful poem, Firebird, that says almost as much as a kiss does.

This is just lovely.

in watchful anticipation
of the next wave
of happiness to depart;

Just one note - so many people make this mistake:

it's is short for it is

its is what you need!

Sorry to be picky but it's something we all need to get right.
