A Sinners Farewell

Just put me in a pine box,
Don’t waste good wood on me.
I’ve always been a sinner.
Now Death has set me free.

I hurt the ones I loved most,
Depraved and base was I.
And all the time I raised Hell
I knew one day I’d die.

I brought disgrace to my family,
I caused a lot of pain.
I even killed a man once,
And received the Mark of Cain.

So don’t cry at my passing.
And never remember me well.
Just put me in a pine box
And let me go to Hell.
