When pins and needles
become pain and tired feeling
you think a bit more
of what was before
makes me happy to see
my childhood strawberries and cream
and the of course of a sunbeam
all the memories blow away the aches
all the memories about the best
blow away the rest

love this line,
"and the of course of a sunbeam"
the whole poem is so gentle and quiet, I could wrap myself up in it.

Thank you shoe and SundaysChild. Your comments warm me like the sunbeam does in this glorious springtime.

It is a bit Yin Yang- but you bet I have some good memories. I have 3 lovely sisters I have shared them with. Beautiful;) I can feel love in me for my memories and my children and my sisters. Parents deceased but the love is there- a bit yin yang- is it Zen if I say My memories are me or is it I am my memories- it's the same isn't it?

Hi Pia,
Just had to write and tell you how much I love this
poem, it's true that I feel the same way as you, not
being able to do the things that you used to be able
to do. I think you should live while your young, glad
I did, because we can look back now we are nearing
our sixties and say yes I had a good life.
Jenny.
