Steve was keen on the girl at the corner shop. He was eager to impress her, and was desperate to say the right thing. He was working as usual with his mates near the embankment holding back a flood of water. Suddenly there was a great rush of water and Steve got drenched. It was just at this time the girl from the corner shop happened to be passing by. Not only did he look like a drowned rat now, but too exasperated to stop himself, he cried out : "I'm bloody sick of that f...in dyke".
