A luminescent gold,
Emerald and blue,
The colours of fireworks
Sparkle our view.
And then there's the red,
So crimson and deep,
It lights up the sky
With gigantic leaps.
The rainbow fountains
That glitter at night
Dispel the darkness
With showering light.
The jewelly-colours
So bright and fantastic,
Like music by Elgar
Is grand and bombastic.
And as the display
Reaches its peak
The lights say more
Than words can speak.
The fireworks are splendid,
So brilliant and fine,
They garnish our lives
Like gold from a mine.

Really colourful, this poem, Hilary. I see you have rated it for children...well I enjoyed it immensely. Speaks for itself, doesn't it;-)?
