It's like that feeling you get
When you stand at the top of a cliff,
Looking down.
You push your toes right to the edge
Just enough that you can bend right over without falling
But just enough that your heart starts to dance rampantly.
It's exhilarating,
Highly recommended.
It comes with a sensation of absolute power;
You are in control of your life
Because one more step could be the end of everything and it's exciting.
Yet, you still consider
What if?
What if that tiny pebble were to fall,
And your foot slipped?
What if this patch of grass was particularly dewy,
And your cheap Primark shoes couldn't handle it?
It's that feeling.
When the fear starts to creep in
And you realise how close you'd come to death
So close...
That's what it feels like.
But trying to tell your family, your friends
Thats when you jump off the cliff.

Thats alright Margharita, I'm just very apologetic that you are having to experience something like this. Same goes for Silver Spun Sand, its a horrible thing to have to experience.
But thankyou so much for the cherry and the positive comments(: that hard work is all worth it for that little fruit (:

Wow, I'm so grateful for the poem of the week nomination, thank so so so much (:
Thankyou Beeme for the lovely comment, I havent come into contact directly with cancer but my great grandmother unfortunately died of the illness and she was incredibly brave about it and she was truly inspiring, so people like that need to be recognised and... Commended, in a way because telling people about it (especially family) is an incredibly difficult thing to do. I'm just so glad it's touched people in the way it has.
THANKYOU (:
