Just a dog

Jackie, I so agree with the sentitments in your poem. Pets are like another member of the family to many people, and then, of course, there are the ones that are trained for all kinds of purposes; guide dogs, etc. etc. Don't know where we'd be without them;-)

That was a really sweet and true poem. Think people underestimate how special dogs are and I love the repetition of the word "Just" every lover of Marley and Me will understand exactly what you are saying. Plus I love poems that rhyme I just think they flow really nicely.

Also on a side note have you ever heard Iggy Pops " I wanna Be your dog" its interesting as I feel that the song has so many connetations especially when you hear it sung by a woman ( Emile Simon) it may be a good topic to explore.

Tina and Mel thank you for your comments. I wrote the poem because so many people say it just a dog why worry or it doesn't matter. Of course it matters you are right they are family. Mel will look that the Iggy Pops song x
