'We are anti-lemon', sang the pro-apple movement- la, la,
O-la!
And in reposte, the anti- apple lemons sang 'We do not like
lemons.
Lemons are sour pusses and sting my eye- la-oh-la le lemon le la!
Apples go brown like tan hungry ladies oxidise rust buckets ooh le
la.'
It's showdown yee ha guns out time in the orchard grove- la la la
Where Apple Oak-ley and Lemon Capone get mean and rouse their
crowd
Shootin' pips and trading quips as the apples and lemons cheer
Stung by juice, the apples rampage loose and stalk lemons dear.
The hard 'core' of the apples sneak on the lemon's front door
Sporting capes and Cape labels with some grannies called Smith
The granny apples are horrid and sport wrinkly green skin
The Caped ones are fearless and so are their twin
Kick the door down with funny little appley legs- la la la
'We are winning over the lemon losers squeeze 'em dry,' they sang
But the lemons had surprise limes in line tough little greenies
Who punched the apples into rings and were utter meanies
'Lime, lime, we are French mime artistes and also very tough
time time to wear white make up and give them apples a cuff
Apples apples you'll be in pie. You are going to die'
Biff boff bop punch ow kick ow ow buff baff punch
I'm sure you wouldn't want these fruits for your lunch
Lemons weren't merangued and apples weren't pied
Just a bit bruised and would be reduced
When they were sold. Old granny smiths moaned a lot
