The first mistake was opening the fridge. She should have known. Boys left to their own devices. But she wasn't ready for this. Sustenance not always included. Breakfast extra. Stella. Old cheese, half a pizza, the ends of the milk. Nothing green. And the smell that punched water from the eyes.
The second mistake was going back to bed. She'd never been able to concentrate on an empty stomach. Especially not while giving head.
The third mistake was calling twice, checking their next date.
And the fourth was being female in the first place.
Or so her best mate said.
