Out into the grey sky
I took myself in nothing
but my own pale skin
Small and white
I wandered
through busy streets
People stared
muttered
but kept their distance
Just a work of art
a conversation piece
challenging the peace
And the clouds watched
and in their wisdom
drew the day in
And the rain was like
a thousand tiny hands
smoothing my skin
