My Blind Eyes

Even with blind eyes
I would put on no other disguise
I would see you from a new point of view
But my vision would not be askew
Free and wild like open plains
And a voice as clear as rhythmic rain
With hair softer than summers silk
Not richer but thicker than buttermilk
Eyes that emit a radiant heat
Satin skin to be always conceit
A feeling warm to the touch
But cold to clutch
Excitement from going up high
The fear to fall and die
It is the blind rush
That makes my heart blush
