A Roman Catholic Father
A voice for God on earth,
His task to tend God's children
Each life, each death, each birth.
Consoler and confessor
Companion to the poor,
A darker face emerges
Behind the vestry door.
He is no more a shepherd
But a wolf that hunts the lamb
His show of Christian virtue
All lies, all fraud, all sham.
It hides a soul that's blackened
Impious and impure,
The saint becomes a sinner
Behind the vestry door.
A mum trusts to his keeping
A carefree, precious child,
A trust too easy broken
Defaced, debased, defiled.
She's oft prayed for his safety
A safety her prayers cannot ensure,
Blind to the horror lurking
Behind the vestry door.
He'll catch her son in a secret
Tell him they're best to defrock,
Then share in unholy communion
His body, his anus, his cock.
For a while the Father is sated
The child is scarred evermore,
Never to tell what he suffered
Behind the vestry door.
His Roman Catholic masters
Know well this sick priest's game,
But care not for his victim
His hurt, his guilt, his shame.
They seek their own best interests
They work hard to ensure,
The truth stays firmly hidden
Behind the vestry door.
A Roman Catholic Father
A wolf that hunts the lamb
His show of Christian virtue
All lies, all fraud, all sham.

Hits all the nails on all the heads!
I was amazed to find out recently that; more than 20 years ago, the Catholic Bishops took out insurance policies, against 'future' claims of child abuse.
Nice one Khelder; sadly, no exaggeration included or required.
Chris ;)
