A neighbour's cat
like a downsized ginger tiger
prowls a suburban sundarban.
Nimbly negotiating narrow fence tops,
those oft trod trails of a square cut, creosoted jungle,
he dodges deftly the drooping intermingled branches
of overhanging trees.
Intent on his own inner mission
he traverses the undulating rooftops
of proximal garden sheds.
Reaching his owner's dominion
he jumps gently and expertly groundward
his hunt, for now, completed.

Lovely, I really like;
'those oft trod trails of a square cut, creosoted jungle,'
and all the alliteration ( I think that's how it's spelled):}
I'm off now to look up 'sundarban'

Hi Shirley,
Thanks so much for that, it really means a lot. My dictionary didn't have the word 'sundarban' in it so good luck looking it up!!
