the pond

i'm sitting here all alone
not a soul around
i wonder, and wonder
with no sign, nor sound

feeling trapped
closed in
all i do
is flap and swim

from one reed
to another
in search
of a brother

finally one day
a floating worm
made me feel
the tide has turned

i ponder closer
for a curious look
only to be fooled
it's really a hook!

i swim as hard as i can
only its too late
the hook sunk in
and sealed my fate

a dream come true
short and sweet
i'm out the pond
i wish i had feet

luv your poem, its not until the very last line (see the pun) where you realize its about a fish. Nicely done =-)
