I bypass powder-puff concessions;
temples to powerpaint and pulchritude.
There, where I superglue fallen leaves
back on to the storm cracked, bandy-boughed
Sweet Chestnut, is my wistful pretence
that I can live beyond my allotted span.
Shed prickly cased love
for another season.

What a great word; 'pulchritude'...I said to the wife, only this morning; 'Your looking full of pulchritude this morning!'
She said, 'You can talk, you look like someone who has been bobbing for apples in a Deep fat fryer!'
She loves me really.
...my wistful pretence
that I can live beyond my allotted span.
If it were only that simple to turn back time lol.
I like the wistfulness of this piece...it'll never catch on though; the old powder-puff is here to stay, I'm afraid ;) XXX

Thanks Chris, Though I've still got a lovely gift voucher for one of the major names, I can't honestly say I expect their products to make much difference !:-D xxxx

Not sure how that didn't collect a cherry first time round - but it certainly gets one this time!
