Crocodile Tears

The tears of a child
You can never forget
An instant detection
A timeless regret
Virtuous orbs
That glisten with glee
Until, No
Dams the shoreline
Then, tempers the sea
Reasons like lollypops
Melt into pips
Inducing a quiver
On narrowing lips
A thousand frustrations
Possessing an innocent face
Earth, suddenly shrinks
And I in my place
A dispute is looming
Victory tenses her fist
Feet pound on linoleum
The world gets the gist
Pick and mix
Is the ransom
An inaudible end
She, vies the eyelashes
An awesome contend
The pistols are loaded
She aims mid the fume
Desolate aisles
From the sweets
To perennial-broom
I clench my teeth
Averting a grin
Tiny hands loose their grip
As a smile starts to brim
She darts for forgiveness
Arms clasping my waist
Planets hasten align
As heed, covets her face
Crocodile tears
The least of despair
As she blossoms and grows
I pray, ever-more rare
