Embittered
The sound of your key's rattling
As you struggle through the door
Typically, sunk me, to three-feet -three
Well, tonight I'm six-foot-four!
The clatter of your staggering
Turned my feet to stone
This time your void excuses, won't wash, I'm ready for your tone!
Stop wobbling down the hallway
Clambering along the wall
Tonight is mine, and if there's time
You're going to reap it all
The usual venom, in your anger, the ferocity in your glare
I'd once assumed was warranted
You're totally unfair!
What have I done this time? Why are you so cross?
Does my manner, offend you?
Or your inner sense, of loss?
I've been cheated, I've been harassed
And I've heard it all before
Tonight I'm passing judgment
Evening the score!!!
Your clothes are in the garden, shredded
I've glued your golf clubs to the door
Your dinners in the dog
And your credit cards no more
I've burnt, all your pictures
Tipped away your stash of drink
The picks of you, just wearing shoes
Are on your aunties, web site link!
Your car is parked on waste ground
Your egg collection boiled
Your resignations in the post
Your fling with Susan foiled!
If you think I'm being irrational
You've made me what I am
I wanted fond affection
Not a snivelling little man
