Sea blue crystal

from the ABC set Paseo Maritimo

aquamarine turquoise sea blue crystal
white light crests roaring air rolling sound
snaking rocks rocking long harmonic breath
exhaled tones spilling waves sluicing waterfalls
sweeping volcanic plateau rock pool shore bound surf stretches
leaning impressions traversing stone sarong skin pore cliff

tidal-pull-wash beckoning back to sea tender jagged wet shell
rock pool waking life white lightening fireworks sea blue
crystal dreams confetti flowering word shoals
intimate aquamarine solid indigo darkening depths
opening violet fathoms peddling stretch runners longing
azure horizon bordering sky

arching curves returning light-lapis cloud lines sun tints pink
sunset flamingo golden amber slash red flare lavas wet sand dry
rose golden embers white bubbles inhale
turquoise to malachite

Loved 'word shoals'. Nice imagery. (One thing - since it conjures up such a drama of images whether the almost repetition of 'white light crests' and 'white crested bubbles' was a bit awkward?)

I like this - try reading it out loud. It reminds me of a the 'sound poetry' of the 70s but occasionally it clunks. Lines 5 and 6 are very difficult to read and other pieces just don't flow as well as they should. But it's very brave and different and for that it gets the bit of fruit.

clunks? clunks?¿?! thanks tony, i´ll read again - L6 i had ´volcanic´ instead of ´volcano´ to help with clunkiness issues! will go back to that now and read it again later when i have finished my Sangria -cheers for the fruit :))

Maybe they were pineapple clunks! :-)

Lovely, gorgeous, serendipitous images and word combinations.

Turquoise to malachite sounds like somewhere I'd like to start a poem from.

Ewan
