Tender

from the ABC set Poems

Tender, kind,
you know
I felt these things
from your words.

Soft, gentle,
commanding
eyes, told
of laughter
and wise knowledge.

Safe hands,
touched felt,
gave freely,
steered purposefully.

Lips, kissed,
swiftly, sweetly,
caressed
affectionately.

Virtue was
politely guarded,
by selfless
generosity.

These things
were you
in a room,
far away.

Thank you, you must be one in a million too, then!

Too kind Louise - but aren't we all one in a million?
