Spring Clean

from the ABC set The Bitterest Pill

Spring clean the mind
Evaporate the neglected
Remove all there to find

Eradicate me now…think me blind.

Scrape out the heart
Deduct untapped devotion
Unplug that smart

Disengage the throb…lie it art.

Disembowel the world
A huge trowel would re-garden the vice
Replant each boy, each girl

Refocus the axis…alter the whirl.

Retract Time’s light
And let it cheat us twice
Why dark-day? Why bright-night?

Another vacuum will suffice, but make it simpler
Recall the Bang, fuck the whimper

Spring cleans the mind,
Summer shocks the senses,
Autumn shops at Smerfield,
Winter mends your fences.

Where's Smerfield or has all that spring cleaning cleared out your Os?

It's where the Smerfs shop. Now you're going to ask me what's happened to my Us...

Good poem, by the way. I came back for a second look.
