Have you ever heard of the Piggledy-Poo?
He’s the little blue goat who lives in your loo.
Brought over here in a boat from Peru,
A fortnight ago he escaped from the zoo.
He’d learned of some crooks who wanted to
Crush his bones into dust to make into glue.
And another bunch of scallywags who
Sought his fur for a coat and his meat for a stew.
So by surprising a cow and making it moo,
He distracted the guards and escaped by canoe.
And with a rather puzzled kangaroo,
Paddled his way to pastures new.
And so he came to reside in your loo,
You must keep this secret, you really must do.
His poor little life depends upon you,
The Higgledy Diggledy Piggledy-Poo.

This is very good - but there are dreadful scansion problems in the second and fourth stanzas. Sort them out and a cherry shall be yours!

Thanks tcook. You are quite right and I have re-worked it. Hope you find the problems sufficiently sorted. You can never have too many cherries...

That just about does it - you still have to practice to get it to roll easily off the tongue - but a cherry is now duly awarded!

Thanks very much.
