Wind chimes, chains, breaking glass,
A hammer slamming against steel.
Banging, clanging, jangling,
Sitting, shaking, sipping madness
from a shot glass, spinning,
slipping off the foundations
anchored in blood and curses and lies
The waves spasm, swirl, sway, swagger
BANG!
LOUDER!
Shotgun blast,
Depth charge, whispered threats
threaded in the skin.
screaming doesn't work
slicing doesn't work
the very air is like a straight
jacket holding, hugging, comforting,
strangling, choking
dead but still alive
Fall and fly on the whims of the air.
