Chapter 5
It was a dark night. Patrolling around this little town is just what I want to be spending my night doing. Great.
“So, what will you do?” Senna wondered, tugging at me. “Are you going to let me fight?”
Looking up at the starry night sky, I then replied to her calmly with a slight bit of anger in my voice “I hate bullies. The fact that these assholes think they can get away with this pisses me off enough. I’m gonna kill a few that’s for sure.”
She then looked up to me, and asked in her innocent voice “It bothers you that much?”
“I know how having nothing to protect you feels, and know how it feels to be taken advantage of. This stops tonight.” I growled, looking up my calmness going away and turning into anger.
I was pretty pissed off actually. Then again, temper is my thing I guess. Who knows, maybe it will work out. Maybe they will just leave and not be stupid enough to die here.
Senna was just sitting there, and after she heard my voice she decided to just be silent and follow me around. By now, she had figured out it was best to not piss me off.
We walked back to the center of this small town, and Keigo was there waiting with Devi. They stood there, a little clueless as to what exactly they should do.
“What’s the plan?” Keigo asked as he walked up to me.
I huffed “To wait. They will come tonight if what that old geezer said is true. We will need to blend in and not give away our presence.”
Soon, I heard the galloping of horses and people clamoring. The light of torches and the sound of a bell rang through the air. The stench of bandits was strong, and I smiled.
“Well, there is quite the number of them I guess.” I smirked. “Let’s see how this rolls.”
It was about fifteen minutes later everyone was gathered around the entrance of the city. A wide clearing perfect for a fight. There was about twenty of these bandits on horses. Why so many? Did they have plans?
There was one in specific who looked like he was in charge. He was wearing a helmet with horns on it. An axe was sitting on his back, and he was a pretty big guy. I mean, he was nothing like Burra. He was still pretty big though. He looked about thirty or so and had a nasty dirt stained face. His teeth seemed as if they had been replaced with wooden copies even though they were still the originals. His breath smelled of foul meat and stagnated water. Most of the bandits were armed and surely a few can use Aura.
“I want my payment!” The leader yelled out, making sure all of them heard him. “If we don’t receive our payment tonight people die!”
The elderly man we talked to earlier walked up to the leader, and answered to his call “We don’t have any money. You pathetic bandits already took all of our money.”
“Pathetic?” The leader asked, looking around “Is that what you think of us now? Pathetic? How about I show you just how pathetic we are!”
Another of the bandits grabbed a teenager probably about our age. It was a female, and she was a fair teen. I mean, not the best looking but then again, I don’t think they cared either.
“Help me!” The girl yelled as she squirmed, being handed off to the leader. “Please!”
“This is the first sacrifice you make!” He barked once again, eyeing everyone. “Her blood will be the first. Every day, we will kill you off one by one until we get our payment!”
Everyone was still. Senna couldn’t believe her eyes, and Keigo was watching me like a hawk. He could see the aggravation in my face. My eyes on the leader, wanting to spill his blood all over the ground. Devi just stood there, her hands at the ready.
The leader pulled out a knife, and put it to this girl’s throat. He went to move it, and the girl screamed very loud.
“Help, please!” She yelled as the leader was laughing at her pain. He went to slit her throat.
“No!” A woman yelled, trying to get out of the crowd to her daughter.
Before the knife could make it to her throat, a force of a train hit the leader in the head hard. He flew, and dropped the girl. The ground made a loud thud as he hit the ground. I stood there, a fire fueling in my eyes and fists. My crimson aura was raging around my arms and legs, and even a little around the rest of my body. It was raging creating it’s own wind pushing dust around, and flapping my clothes slightly. I was pissed off.
“Alright…” I growled, looking at them. “You crossed the line. Tell ya what, instead of you showing how pathetic you are allow me. All twenty of you against me. Nobody, and I mean nobody intervene, because I am going to kill you all.”
Senna went to jump out to help, but Keigo put his arm in front of her.
“Don’t.” He spoke, looking towards me “Not when he is angry. You will only get in his way.”
“Kill him!” The leader yelled from the ground, his mouth bloody and teeth knocked out.
All of the bandits drew their weapons and charge at me all at the same time. The first one that made it to me got punched in the chest. My hand went all the way through him. Another swung his sword, and I grabbed his hand, twisting it. I broke the bone out of his arm then kicked his neck so hard it snapped loudly. You could hear the pop. I grabbed another, and slammed him to the ground. It was as ig he had fallen from a skyscraper. That’s how much force he hit the ground with. My eyes full or rage and my fists full of anger. I was going to kill them all.
They all stood there in awe, and the only thing Senna could say as I continued my onslaught was “Holy shit…”
“Damn…” Keigo commented, looking to me “This isn’t going to end well. So much for blending in.”
I had killed most of the bandits already. Several bodies laid out on the ground disoriented and destroyed. All of them as lifeless as a clay doll, and as still as a picture. The ground was painted with their blood and insides. I was ruthless.
Only two more bandits stood. One of them the leader, another a grunt. The grunt looked at me, and ran at me with his sword out and over his head. I curled my fist, and the aura raged violently around it. I punched him right in the skull. My aura created an explosive impact, literally blowing his brains out. Skull fragments flew outward.
The leader was now standing, and holding his axe in his hands. His axe was glowing a dark blue color, and he ran towards me. I stood right where I was. When he swung the axe, I put my fingers in the way. Just two fingers. The sound of thunder rang in the air this time, but my fingers did not move nor were they cut. The bandit’s eyes bugged and almost popped out of his head. His legs began shaking, and his breath shaky. It was as if he had never fought someone this strong.
“Impact Aura, that is pretty effective.” I smarted, looking over to him tilting my head a bit. “Unfortunately for you my aura seems to be stronger than yours.”
He couldn’t speak, he was breathless.
“You are a demon…” He said, looking to me shaking out of his boots. “Nobody has this kind of power but demons.”
I stood there, and curled my fist. I was pretty pissed off.
“If I am a Demon…” I angrily growled. “I best be the king of them!”
I punched him hard where his heart is. His blood poured from his chest, and all you heard was a grunt. Bones crushed, and crumbled under my aura. I was pissed off. I stood there, my hands and face bloody. Soon however, regardless of my scary display, everyone began to clap and cheer. They were happy. Their bullies…had now been dealt with.
