Visions of a commune, ocker hippie lingo
Images of Uluru, transgression of a dingo
Shrouded diamond cosmos, half a cheesy-moon
Incense and a guitar, lighter burns a spoon
Outback canine bogeyman, trotting in the dark
Nabbed a little bubba, without a yelp or bark
Hysteria for Azaria and a dingo on the prowl.

Hi peterelbee,
I like this, because it's so casual, like writing
down visions that come into your head. It's how all
the best poems start.
I love the first line, really cool man!
Jenny.

Are you referring to the little baby that disappeared in the outback in Australia? Nice little poem!

I wrote this poem some time back, took a long time to perfect it, despite the fact that it is so brief.
Still not completely happy with the final line, would be greatful for any feedback as to how to improve it.
Yes Highhat the poem is about the baby that went missing from ayres rock back on 17 August 1980.

. . . 'a mystical red rock and Alice Springs ' it doesn't matter that you write the formal place name. Mystical because there was such an aura of it about the baby's disappearance.Just a silly suggestion. The rock really is a fantastic place. I wish I hadn't only flewn over it. It would be nice to visit and climb up to the top and see all the aboriginal wall paintings. love your little poem. I used to live in Australia-as a child. Love the country dearly.
