Autumn Reign

Amidst a peaceful wood reposed,
on fallen leaves, golden brown;
Where sunlight strikes a matted floor,
and wisps of evergreen scent abound.
A Goddess of beauty, noble and grand,
posed unstudied in stately 'dorn;
Crowned in season of Autumn reign,
life suspended -
yet she reborn.
Vigorous tresses like rusten boughs,
delicate cheeks of raspberry tint;
eyes of green and lips blushed pink,
warm and liquid, with attar scent.
A crisp pirouette on sprightly toes,
with posies pressed to ardent breasts;
Ashen lace, spread, in curtsied pose,
passed in review to Autumn's feast.
Dance of season in devotion true, to
Diana's melodious windswept psalm;
reclaimed with unblemished grace anew,
eternal passion and practiced calm.
