Christmas in Harlem

Merry Christmas to all, and all a good night
Raise your glasses to the carols, we livin' the good life
In the living room with your children and the fire on,
Pullin' crackers, telling jokes and singing festive songs
It's only Christmas Eve and we're already sentimental
Wake up five in the mornin', got to get to work before the big nine
My head's all over the place from last nights red wine
I get outside, and it's forty below the average chill
Now I'm in delay, wiping snow off the windsheild
When I'm done with work, with a hour to spare
I head towards the mall for my wife's gift and to cut my hair
The streets of Harlem are lit up like a Christmas Vegas
Everybody's in a good mood, even all those haters
I'm at the mall now and head straight to the jewellery store
Up one floor, to the diamond section, pick up an engraved ring
Imagining what it'll look like on my favorite thing, my wife, my life
My world, my girl, my diamond wearing pearl
I buy the ring, get my hair done and drive straight home
What a feelin' Chritsmas gives, knowing you're not alone
