Curse of the m-o-n-k-e-y

m-o-n-k-e-y
m-o-n-k-e-y
m-o-n-k-e-y
m-o-n-k-e-y

I've seen those exact words printed on T-shirts and phones.
With a picture of Martin Luther king with kentcuy fried food.
Behind him are those Black men with hoodies who look like clones.
I've heard his I had a dream with monkeys screaming on ringtones.
These graphic nonsence is being developed by those clones.
With bald heads and pointed white witch hats and white clothes.
Racism it is not but it's their egocentric foolish ways,
Vote for the right side, hang the negros like we did in the old days.

(Chorus)
It was the curse of the hand.
The curse of destruction.
Producing more and more.
To the point of overload production.
They call me a monkey.
Just because I'm black.

m-o-n-k-e-y
m-o-n-k-e-y
m-o-n-k-e-y
m-o-n-k-e-y

Heard a joke from a fellow thug as you might say.
Told me the joke like it was written yesterday.

JOKE OF THE DAY
-There's no rape without the word ape"

Straight away I knew what race it was talking about.
Ok, maybe more crimes are commited by Blacks.
Maybe there is more Black on Black killings.
But no right do you have.
To talk shit like that, that could be heard by my siblings.

Take the K out of the word and then you're happy.
Take out racism out the world and then were all happy.

(Chorus)
It was the curse of the hand.
The curse of destruction.
Producing more and more.
To the point of overload production.
They call me a monkey.
Just because I'm black.

m-o-n-k-e-y

Thought I might hang back and see what the read/comment ratio was as this is a difficult subject to know how to approach correctly - but decided it was best to just step in and support ;-)

Although I have experienced various problems brought to me by 'others' in the past and I sometimes stand up in the face of aggression to argue against their selfish and unnecessary consumption of the Earth's sentient creatures, being white in skin tone I don't think I have ever faced the hostility you may have.

If it is painful, all I can offer is to find a place of immunity, where name-calling really does make you see the mouth as an imbecile rather than reinforce any feeling of inferiority. I do not have any children but if I had they would be trained to be judo and ju-jitsu experts as these are the things that bring inner confidence. Aligned with that I would ensure that they learnt early on to believe that there is no-one on this planet more important than they are. There may be others currently performing important roles but that is not the sme thing.

The way to deal with bullies is to take away their power - firstly eliminate the physical threat/fear and secondly remove any inherited feelings of inferiority.

As for the Monkey t-shirt I would apply the teaching of Mr Paul McKenna - as I mentioned in my poem "The Exploding Mr McGregor"

Wish I could offer full eradication Pin - following this through will not eradicate the hatred - but it will make it a whole lot easier to deal with ;-)

Thanks for the comment Jupiter. Yes I agree some on here wouldn't comment on this, mainly because of the dimensions of the topic. The topic I mentioned in this piece does not affect me at all because I can deal with it. I appreciate you trying to make it easier with comfort though.

I wrote the rap because I of course got the joke from a mate and we in a way find it amusing to see ridicuolous things like that. Then I thought about my children, they are only toddlers therefore will not even see these jokes etc.I would die before they had to see these things but one day they will. As a teen it will be hard for them.

The whole thing with the "monkey" is awkward, some bring foward the evolution theory etc. Some say we are less developed which is bullshit. So It some people(non racists) may say we are still pretty much animals.

Then the RACISIM STARTS,they don't look at development of mind etc. They look at African American body features(which I'm sure I won't have to mention), they look at behavior like many being associated with crime, gangs, rape etc.

I agree it may be true if it can be proven however, I won't agree with the racist ways to link us with the topic.

I don't mind people not posting on this peice, just aslong as you get what I'm saying.

Thanks Jupiter for having the heart to comment.

Not all should be blamed on researchers and racists. Many rappers refer to one another as gorillas, which I don't agree with.

Suppose they adapt to it as slang to one another like calling each other nigger, which I admit I do to my friends and other Black africans.

I have a saying from my computer software writing days :

"people are promoted to their level of incompetence"

which I think - sadly - applies to the human race. Just look at the world and what is going on and what people are doing to each other and to other animals - on a holocaustal scale.

If there weren't laws against it, I think humans would be eating humans - and farming them to eat.

So what I am suggesting Pin is that, if you can get your head (and your kids) to the 'call me a monkey and you are an idiot' place then it's not actually an insult at all - given the current state of the planet I would personally rather be classed with a previous iteration because our evolutionary forebears seem to have caused far less planetary problems than we have ;-)

Easy for me to say perhaps, for I am not the one experiencing the racial abuse - but take it from me, I am far from being proud to put 'human' on my cv!

In the end, when global warming or 'Problem No. 269-312' takes control due to the 'cleverness' of those in power, it will be micro-organisms that actually survive to rule the Earth not human bullies. ;-)

Suppose we are micro-organisms to those in future generations. Just to think names like Ewan,chuck,Beeme,Jupiter,pinda,Sunday,jen,3leaf,cal etc will be history to those who use it in say 100 years from now(if humans survive that long). We should move on,ignoring as much as possible.
