pinda- this is powerful stuff and I think I see the point you are making here.
However I do not accept that sterotyping is an acceptable reason for rape etc to occur.
If these youths do not like being sterotyped, that is fair enough- but they should prove their 'judges' wrong, not right.
Stereotyping IS bad, rape etc IS worse.

I accept that this is what happens but the blame must lie with the perpetrator. If you see a bunch of kids, regardless of colour, hanging around in hoodies, clearly up to no good, then one is bound to be nervous of them - and that's when things get out of hand. An anxious person can do many silly things - but getting raped for being anxious is hardly reasonable. Sure, let's have a debate about it - but the blame for rape is always with the male.
