Where are you God?

from the ABC set Poems

Where were you God
when I needed you most?
I knocked on your door
and not even a ghost.

I wanted to meet
because I feared my hate.
But you’d already left
Or, was I too late?

I cried all night.
And cried all day.
I wanted to meet
to have my say.

I searched and searched
But to no avail
My faith is in tatters.
And that is my tale.

Now alone with my sorrow
I have a burning desire.
That you listen to my prayer
before I expire.

Someone told me once that god answers every prayer; only sometimes the answer is no. Or most of the time by my experience. I gave up praying and my faith changed. i still believe god has a plan; i just think he got it wrong. But that's me.
Great poem brilliantly written.

many thanks... bad times just tests one's faith, I suppose. Lately I just think that God has abandoned me and my family for no apparent reason!
