Sound of silence

Sound of silence
PK Routray

Silence is also a sound,
But impact of silence is more profound.
I remember slapping a man fifty years ago,
He accepted with silence surrendering his ego.
Now I repent on my deed with pain and agony,
The memory of his silence for last fifty years has been my continual worry.
Most of the love stories start with silent eye and silent gesture,
“Less the sound produced more divinity attained” is the law of nature.
Silent reply has much interpretation,
Loud sound has less power of penetration.
Trees in silent, flowers in silent and mountain in silent speak loudly on beauty,
The loud sound of thunders, guns and crackers give a feeling of brutality.
Silence is like a quiver with full of arrows,

Sound is like spent arrows resulting in empty bows.
Pen makes silently big sound,
A strange fact writers have found.
