It's terrible when so much,
Pain, fear and destruction
Lies along our bruised streets.
So it's wonderful too see people
Helping out each other.
It surely does
Warm a beaten heart.
But then I take a peek
In my sisters paper
And read little Johnny smith,
Had been found abandoned on those
Very streets a week earlier
His mother and father
Couldn't care for him,
Not teenagers like the picture we all
Imagine,but a couple in their early 30's
Once hard workers and home owners,
Now jobless and homeless,
Victims of the recession.
So what makes me really sad,
Is that it takes a mountain,
Full of hurt, for some of us too take,
Notice of the wider decay,
That sleeps beneath the city,
floors waiting to rot the surface,
Worse than before.
Lets just for the night,
Think about others.
Like the neighbor who
Cant walk because of an illness
And needs help with daily chores,
Or the doctors that need more money,
To run an efficient hospital with their
Fantastic, over worked, tired staff.
May be its your brother who has no
Idea how to rid of his addiction.or it
Simple could be a stranger you
Wouldn't normally smile at.
Who ever it is,why don't we,
Think about them for just,
One night, rather than ourselves.
Because without regular Support
For our community,the trilogy of
Damage will continue.
Some people won't want help,
Or will never listen, But show them,
We care, and do not give in,
Because its easy. No, lets start too
Fill the green wheelbarrow of neglect,
Not just with recyclable materials,
But with unconditional help,kindness
And hope.so we can once again build a
Better,safe and happier place.

What a good one for the (IP)
I absolutely agree with all of this.
Exactly true! I have done now, and helped
familiy and done so many things, only by joining
doing showing and helping one can help each other.
Every day somewhere someon is worse of than oneself.
I have seen and have some disability in my own families. And elderly not perfectly watched or helped. Paper's full of all.
Love the last stanza.
Fill the green wheelbarrow of neglect,
With not just recyclable materials,
But with unconditional help,kindness
And hope, so we can once again build a
Better,safe and happier place.
"Pick Yourself Up Brush
Youself Down" and Let's start over again.
Cruel world sometimes one can be a helper,
no help when they want it maybe? I was a carer
to my belated mum and so on and on. But give of your
time to somebody, families don't want, or accept you.
To someone else, people I know 90 got to hospital alone. Families break up, ruin the children. N/homes
care so busy. For all needs of people that need extra care, waiting toilets. Or in wheelchairs. Now the cut backs. Keep smiling?

Hi Julie :) Thank you for your so much appreciated kind words. And taking the time too read my longish work lol, I am happier with easier short ones hehe but felt more thought and effort and words deserve more in this one.
yes I could of gone on endless list of people and
Places that need our help but I did not want it too sound a lecture or too long that you all fall a sleep hehe.
I did similar with my late dad Julie, so understand fully where your coming from and being a carer in one of my jobs I also sadly witness things I wish I never did, but helped to sort them out before I left thankfully but that's not always the case for many reasons.

H!.well deserved cherry!
I wrote kind of mp Tony Blair,
once stating, all people have medical things,
boots caliphers, ect; wheelchairs. Should be free
charge and not have to buy, as I know now. Staff are
short everywhere, in n/homes I have been with some from day centre's many would do, and I used to go singing group, with a teacher whoever takes it, and a guitarists. give our time and love. They waiting for the loo. No one to take them must wait. Even
in modern times. But then you have experienced too.
Love and care they want, and gentle touch approach.
I am better as an agony aunt. But had a great time to-day. Money is short, enjoy your poems. I Particularly asked the
Editor T.cook (Tony) if my comments are too long, I will delete,
how marvellous be able to do that Now, and (Tony) replied they all love me to chat! some do maybe.
I too fully understand. Thankyou there is a song "If I can help somebody" my living shall not be invain". and one of course, "I'll give my hand to those who cannot see" to help the weary on their way". So on. Maybe you wouldn't know oldie songs. Fact of life just get on with whatever comes. When we nurse help or do, something families, friends, in church's.
that stops, Dr nurses NHS whatever, having pay to have them. And nursing dying. When we treat all as equal, be a much better world. As many know, in those
times everyone had to do it all.Nobody know anyones
live's.Do they once the door is closed, expression.
Keep smiling, and writing.
