That night
the rain came down like giants rage
against the cool crisped evening
and the hazel coloured after glow of day
The sands swept clean of their mysteries
and the birds quieting in to the trees
so long ago, but still so fresh in my mind
the smell of ferns and rushes
as mother earth nourished them once more
Long lost days peering out into the storm
a forgotten world that was mine alone
mine to find peace in
