From my verandah porch
a hummingbird titillates my senses, a
metronome of soundless joy.
Reaches beyond my vision
takes me out of inner sanctum,
thrusting me into a world where
space floats free of all encumbrances
unchained melodies allowed
escape, and hope---spirits uplifted.

Hi Richard,
your verandah porch, sounds like a wonderful place
to sit, and to hear the sound of a hummingbird
makes it even more special.
Great read.
Jenny.

Thank you, Jenny. The storm Katrina knocked down the two trees which shielded us, with a privacy screen from the next apartment. So I have flowers, plants and grow for the first time this year, tomatoes, and they are coming along in large planters. My privacy now once again allows me to observe our various birds at the feeders---finches, hummingbirds, mourning doves, sparrows, chickadees, all enjoy the munchies. And allows me to dream a little. All the best, Richard LP
