Catch the Fire

from the ABC set POETRY - A Passage of Motion 2

The land dips and bounds
across my view

like an éclair, with shades of icing.

First layer accepts an old tractor
parked in rust

secondly is a sheep pasture
in a cacophony of sound

followed by winding outlines
of uninterrupted acreage

silhouetted with Autumn colours.

Somewhere in the greening
a fox is sly-watchful.

To all the wonderful writers, especially the poets, since I am now focusing most of my attention to writing poems: Keep writing and submitting. There are so many wonderful writers on ABCTales.com. Richard LP
