The land dips and bounds
across my view
like an éclair, with shades of icing.
First layer accepts an old tractor
parked in rust
secondly is a sheep pasture
in a cacophony of sound
followed by winding outlines
of uninterrupted acreage
silhouetted with Autumn colours.
Somewhere in the greening
a fox is sly-watchful.
