Food Bank
Today is a meal
of hope
notwithstanding
the alley slept
in last night
nor a balcony
of evening’s choice
with a friend
or the park where
sun’s journey
settles over
the reservoir.
Surely hasten
for a swim
when clothes need
washing
tonight being that
special moment.
