Growing Older is OK
Not much energy
left these days when
I am
the caboose
with legs that once
danced and
pranced
now a slower trot
leads me to
the dinner table.
I keep trying to test
my mind
on checkers or
chess and
barely able to creep
up the stairwell.
Best of all is
making it
to the bathroom
on time
an achievement
worth writing about.
