Home from Somewhere

from the ABC set POETRY - A Passage of Motion 2

Tight shorts blink from thighs
as sequoias in the wind
only time can lose weight.
A parade of steps head home
feet stomping on the asphalt
determined thinking
another stupid argument ahead.
When will they get
off my neck?
A lacey blouse insulates her
thinking fists clenched
a young lady growing under the
smolder
of another teenager.

Very well captured Richard- I remember being a young teenager-parents were only in the way.

Thanks, Pia. Isn't it interesting how we grew from knowing-it-all at 16-18, then feeling lost for awhile in the adult world? Now as a Senior, I am an eagle-geezer observing the world through the eyes of my perch. Cheers, Richard LP
