from the ABC set NOVA SCOTIA POEMS by Richard L. Provencher

Little Bras D’or

burn, zealous
sun
edge to edge
…horizon’s view
misty vapours
slip
along

The Bras d'Or Lakes on Cape Breton Island, a large part of Nova Scotia, is a boater's paradise. Folks from all over arrive here, for the scenery and privacy, and protective land mass, and especially enjoyable for sailboating. RLP

I think that's rather beautiful. Thanks for sharing the vision of it. Living is all about representation and perception, in my experience. I choose to represent living as an ongoing process...the word living continues, whereas the word life is teleological, static. This is how I interpreted the misty vapours, that slip along. There is movement. I can see the play of light upon the water.

I think that this process is rather beautiful too, a movement of ideas and imagery, our fundamnental language, across the ocean. Words are amazing things, and we are amazing creatures! Thanks Richard!
