OBSERVATIONS poem

from the ABC set 'HE' WATCHES OVER US - a spiritual journey

Observations

Their black kerchiefs hide
any foreheads of stress
ladies graceful at picnic tables

accept husbands’ baskets
of foodstuff, children impatient
for the ritual to end

Mennonites, natural in
caring one for another, sisters
and brothers.

Peter’s proud of little
Anna, hoists her shoulder-height
smile of pride
from young eyes.

A family plan, God’s
perfection.

I invite you to read 'FOOTPRINTS” a novel about family relationships, now available from www.synergebooks.com. “Someone’s Son” and “Into The Fire” will also be out soon by the same company. These books were written during the first several years while I was recovering from my stroke, which felled me in 1999. With prayer and the support of my wife, Esther, I am still recovering.

The link to “FOOTPRINTS” is as follows: http://www.synergebooks.com/ebook_footprints.html
