Rabbit trails cast
a dark shadow
ridges along the
white hilltop
their fleeting-
moving swiftly
across the thin
crust of snow
the cold wind
in hot pursuit
and a terror-filled
heart
listens to the
wolves howl
getting
closer and
closer
