Once

Once, there was a giant,
He sat atop a cloud
He stomped and hit and shouted,
The cloud gave way and cried.
The giant jumped from that cloud,
As it disintegrated from beneath him,
On to a different cloud.
Here he once again stomped and hit and shouted,
Once again he made the cloud cry,
Once again he jumped
From that cloud to another.

This time there was another giant,
She was stomping and hitting and shouting,
‘Why are you so angry?’
He asked,
She said,
‘Because I am lonely as a cloud’
He said
‘Not anymore’
And the sun shone
And the giants chatted and hugged and kissed
And it rained no more.

Without rain the earth shrivelled beneath the sun,
There are no real giants in the sky,
Still the earth cannot breath,
So love like the giants,
Be happy on your cloud.
