Trees

Slight chill in the air
a low sun turns the trees into silhouettes.

my arms have developed goose pimples and the hairs stand leafless like the trees
rooted so solidly to an ending world
yet from here they could be the set for a play
fold away
an inferred reality

the sun hangs
and then it is gone

This captures that feeling of dusk perfectly.

I particularly liked -

'hairs stand
leafless like trees'

Maybe remove 'down' after 'fold' so there's not two downs in the one sentence.

Great piece.
